Intent is to lean on cradle to make giant overrun minions. Previous iterations had significant difficulty with other control decks, notably anything with green as you invest a lot of time into creating a giant monster to have it inevitably murmured. The serpent subtheme is mostly just a cute idea that actually actively clashes with the safehouse path. There's an argument for turn of seasons as it can still provide healing and the fragile can be mitigated but it's a risk as there blowout potential during winter.
Other considerations are:
-Healing (foul harvest, wonder drug, strigoi pup, vibrant quetzel, beimeni falls, stray pancea) -Additional early game (venomfang mutant, vibrant quetzel, stray pancea, trained jaguar, shopworn bull) -Targeted removal (crimson pact) -Large health minions/Growing minions (xelhua, zolea, bob, tangleskein, cyclopean giant, bastard of autolycus) -Regen Minions (twin blanque/twin junah, coruscant axolotl)
A spider rather than serpent sub theme may be valuable as they have relatively high health pools and tangleskein "draws" cards, however this deck should be favored against aggro for the most part and instead has issues with control. Neither spiders nor serpents truly address that issue although dream weaver and beimeni falls could be interesting with a cradle.
Given the existing difficulties against safehouse and it's own inherent disadvantages as a safehouse deck it makes sense to ban opposing safehouse decks with this list.
