Last season, YP aggro quickly rocketed to the top of the meta before dramatically tumbling down to the bottom after several nerfs. Now, with the new set, YP aggro has returned with some key adaptations.
The biggest change is the addition of thunderbird egg. This solid 1 drop presses opponents to respond while also punishing contests and controling board placment.
While grit instructor is a good support for egg and doper, I personally stayed with venomfang for the board control and punishing contests as wel as synergy with Zolea & contagionomia.
Sister spitfire is a key closer to give your buffed cheap cards that last burst of reach for lethal. Take to the streets replaces pentacle as a wider board and agile make it more versatile. Penacle ran the risk of loading a single minion into a big removal target.
Lastly, while seeming counterintuitive for an aggro deck (alliance seems a more obvious choice) safehouse works well for this setup. the free banner/minion helps egg while also giving some legs in case you can't close fast enough. The card draw from having less minions also helps not lose too much tempo if you get gassed and board wiped. It seems to work better for midggro rather than straight control by giving later options and survivability in case things don't go exactly your way.
