Description

This is a classic reanimator list that I started working on seasons and seasons ago that works well in 1v1 but it really, really shines with a partner! It sort of plays like a control-combo deck, in that order. There are many synergies within the deck itself and many potential synergies when you add another player to your team

  • Obviously Ruslan's Bight and Plague Maidens are a 2 card combo by themselves, but did you know that when played in the mid-lane in 2v2, your teammate can use their mana to power her rain of terror?

  • Xiomara can give armor to other minions. Ruslan's Bight for everyone!

  • Holcan can give itself armor,

  • Zmey Hydra likes taking damage to Plague Maidens,

  • Magpyre Enforcers can't take damage to Plague Maidens. You may laugh, but they are also very capable anti-aggro cards and all-around pure value now with slayer 3, the only unfortunate part being that they die to Corrode Equipment,

  • Necromantics don't mind dying to Maidens,

  • Wonder Drug and Harvester are useful for topping up on lost health which will be a common occurrence with Maidens,

  • Maidens,

  • Goliath's Web and Tangleskein afford you a total of 4 Goliath's Webs in the deck, meaning that those pesky Shinobi of Fires aren't quite so Agile and those Sapo's don't look as menacing,

  • Foresight's Divination 4 now means that finding Necromantics is ridiculously easy,

  • In 2v2, If your partner is playing Ready for Anything or Circle of Protection then Plague Maidens requires little more than a quick finger to utterly conquer the board,

  • The power of an OTK'ing Sablewing Zira in the middle lane of 2v2s should never go underestimated,

  • Chort Stag recovers Sapo, Iku Turso, Harvester, Tangleskein (6 Goliath's Webs!?) Zira, Holcan, Zolea, and most importantly, Maidens,

  • Misanthropias work well with your Necromantics, especially against a stubborn opponent running Impel intent on playing tag,

Ultimately the greatest part about the deck is that it's really fun and to any of you out there that haven't played with Plague Maidens yet, I highly recommend trying this one out!

  • 07/12/2020 - Swapped out a single Magpyre Enforcer for a single copy of Volition and it is doing very well. I believe 1-ofs like this to be much better with Foresight-Disk than in any other deck. Volition has done a great job of finishing many games that I would have struggled to have otherwise closed out with the benefit of often being able to tailor-pick topdeck it when it is needed late in the game.
