Description

Current Record: 10-1-0 (Still experimenting but this is my most consistent mono purple deck yet)

A midrange mono purple deck that relies on your 1-4 drops to take board control until you are able to play your 5-8 cost to finish the game. Minion heavy that is complimented with Impel and Coliseum of Strife.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

Strengths: Versatile allowing you to have a fair match up against most decks, big minions that allow you to snowball if the opponent has no answer, flexible positioning with impel

Weakness: Aggro heavy decks overwhelm this deck if you do not have good early hand or Life Tap, really difficult to retake control of the board because mono purple doesn't have a reliable board clear spell, 1 and 2 cost minions are all 2/1 or 2/2 making it easy for enemy to take early board control especially Red and Blue

Game Plan:

1 Drops: Racer in Shadow should be used to remove small minions or finish off bigger minions if the damage is not enough. Make sure they trade because if Racer is left alive it will be banished not allowing you to recycle it back to hand with Vixen.

2 Drops: Try to play Night Market early if possible to get those items. Sword Saint is your only means of life gain so burn them or use them cautiously. Re: Spawn is used to keep your board control minions and big minions alive; it is especially super strong on Celestial Dragon and Vixen.

3 Drops: Shinobi of Smoke is essential to your game plan because it is your means of global control on the board with impel. Zen Archer is also a means of global control keeping the opponent at bay especially Red and Orange buying you more time to set up your board. Try to save Balance because its your only means of drawing cards but burn if you must.

4 Drops: DO NOT BURN Pentacle of Flavors unless you really have to because it is Mono Purples only means of board clear. Do not play it just for more damage because they can just remove that minion. Most useful on Shinobi of Smoke. Wait until the opponent plays many minions in one spot or a big minion, then use it to remove them. Use Vixen to revive spirit cards.

5 Drops: DO NOT BURN Spirit Away because it is your only hard removal. For minions, pick and burn depending on the match up. Masters of Shadow is usually good against Aggro. Merciless Koxinga against artifacts, enchantments and big minion decks. Terragon to push for more damage. These are the main minions that you need to force your opponent into using removal on so you can play your bigger minions without the fear of removal.

6-8 Drops: Used to finish your opponent off in the late game. Play them cautiously as the opponent will most likely have hard removal so let them waste it on your other minions first with the exception of Risen from the Deep. It sucks when you put your Celestial Dragon or Daigoju Supreme down only to have it removed by Misanthropia or Seal of Exile but to make these minions be played more safely, Re: Spawn can be used.

Notable Cards:

Night Market is an essential element to this deck as it opens up many attack and defensive options with many minions + card search:

Divine Compass (item): Overall a good item that lets you search for a card on the top 3 cards of your deck. Its good early and especially good late game especially if you haven't drawn any big minions yet giving you more consistent draws.

Squire Spike(item): Gives more attack and lets you tear through armor. Useful for trading and finishing your opponent off.

Powerful Ramen(item): Allows you to use Impel without cost letting you have more board movement.

Zen Archer: His global ability becomes a thorn to your opponent making them think twice about attacking. This slows the opponents down buying you time to either draw the right cards or just set up your board. His item is also going to help you set up for that finishing blow in the late game.

Pentacle of Flavors and Spirt Away: The most reliable removal cards Harmony has to offer. The two most important cards in the deck because it lets you get over their pesky aggro army or super big minions. It is a necessity to use them wisely if you want to win with this deck.

Risen from the Deep: By far my favorite Harmony card in the new expansion. A perfect balance between offense and defense. Immortal on awaken allows him to stop onslaughts and survive until next round to attack.

Combos:

Squire Pike/Powerful Ramen (items) + Shinobi of Smoke: Having a minion on Night Market generates you Squire Pike and Powerful Ramen items at random. Powerful Ramen allows you to take advantage of the Teleport ability of Shinobi of Smoke by using impel for free to have global control of the board letting you snipe minions. Squire Pike not only allows you to tear through Armor minions but it also allows Shinobi of Smoke to snipe stronger minions if needed.

Phoenix Feather (Zen Archer item) + Risen from the Deep: My favorite combo to do in this deck! It requires some set up, but it is worth it. Usually in the late game, players will most likely have a removal card but Risen from the Deep has Immortal on Awaken letting it to not only avoid most of those removal cards, but also act as a blocker so you can block safely and then counter attack on your turn! Use Phoenix Feather to give it Agile and Squire Pike to power up his attack and swing for the finish. His Forge ability also allows him to deal life damage even after death. If things go your way, its a net amount of 10 damage! Save this combo for when you want to finish your opponent off.

Nine - Tailed Vixen + Shinobi of Smoke/Racer in Shadow: Vixen brings back spirit minions from the Boneyard essentially allowing you to have an unlimited supply of spirit minions. Mostly synergizes with Racer in Shadow.

Born in Cruelty (Merciless Koxinga item) + Racer in Shadow: Able to snipe the strongest of minions. With a Vixen to return the Racer back to hand makes it a reusable combo making this a priority threat.
