Fires of Creation is the most interesting and, in my opinion, technical path to play in Mythgard currently. Making it work is like spinning plates, get it going just right and it's amazing to witness. However if something fails the deck is going to fall apart dramatically and none quite so badly as a Stretcher Fires of Creation deck.
This deck aims to take a deck type that is unreliable and inconsistent and, by adding layers and layers of contingencies in the form of powerful R/O draw + bodies, allows you to defend yourself and refine your draws to a point of perfection. This deck thus always plays the defensive, gaining health, pinging damage wherever possible, has a slew of control cards, is able to board clear, get around warded and immortality, gained enough health to hold off against greed, and buy time with Lavish Proxy and Temptation.
The deck specialises in GUARANTEEING your win con in a timely manner;
Over a third of the deck is dedicated to either card draw or card filter without sacrificing board presence. Several of these draw options are even artifacts, allowing further filtering with Fires of Creation. In a worst case scenario where you draw NONE of these you are drawing larger bodies, life tap and control cards. Pinging and hanging on until you can get something to begin your card filter/draw train that ends in your enemies tears.
Cards like Seven Ring Ritual and Behemoth act as secondary win cons. Jaded Courtier helps you both gain health and ping. Ourania Muse works because I'm already playing minions in the guard lanes for Jaded Courtier so adding another lurker feels natural to add and play around and it's a look at 2 draw 1 effect every 2 turns that has won me several games now. You all know why AA is there, good card is good.
I am currently 5/1 in competitive play with the deck. Not a huge record yet I realise but it is so insanely fun and fresh (at least for me) that I just HAD to give it a quick write up to show it some love. I'll expand this write up when I have more time/when people ask question!
